[RELEASE]Iron Man Theme
Posted by DUKE on Fri 01 @ 06:24 PM | Views: 43 | Comments: 0
The theme is categorized as a category theme. In the download I have provided a step by step guide to help you install. There are a number of icons I have provided, but of course, like all themes, I have not made every icon there is, I worked mainly on the ones I was using, and then multiple others to give it depth for everyone else. PLEASE if you are needing an icon made, leave a post with the application, and the original icon if possible.

The Theme is set up to where there is ONE main springboard screen. I will not be making every icon to fit on the springboard, as that is not the way the theme is supposed to work. I WILL how ever IF needed make icons to fit the iphone, and possibly international icons to replace the ones on the springboard IF NEEDED.

This theme took a lot of time, and effort, I hope everyone who has been looking forward to it enjoys it.

The Main screen is set up to be Jarvis

start screen is a menu navigation

Games folder, is set up to look like a folder on the computer

Apps is set up to resemble an weapons case with faded paint logos

and the tools folder as a blueprint
The theme looks very clean and sweet I would suggest you download it!

iTunes includes fixes to improve stability and performance, that's all nothing to dramatic. But I can tell you what it does do, produce music, and making it sound better. Well you can download it at apple homepage or on your software updates.

iPhone 3G Cracking?
Posted by richie on Wed 30 @ 01:41 PM | Views: 36 | Comments: 0

These cracks started to appear on the white models of the iPhone 3g, then people with the black models started looking for cracks on theirs and they found some too. They are about a hairline crack that's how thin the crack is.

Since the updates of the iPhone is coming out, people is wanting to jailbreak their iPhone. Developer, cmw, has release an update for the WinPwn. Just fixing minor bugs. The new build mainly takes care of numerous bugs noted in previous versions of the jailbreaking application.

Here are the specifics to the various fixes which WinPwn 2.0.0.3 addresses:
Cydia/XP/Writing root FS bug.
-Failed to remove ipsw directory after a ipswBuild failure.
-iPwner now only accepts custom ipsws.
-Remove 345 ipsw support. WinPwn only supports 347 2.0 ipsw's.
-Various other fixes.
-In addition, the developer also plans to add several new features in future versions to help improve the app's performance. Make sure to look out for stuff like a new partition resizer, an auto updater, and a DFU wizard function in the next release.

Also Xp and Vista users should update the WinPwn, so it can run better. For detailed instructions on how to properly install WinPwn, don't forget to check out the How-To guide on using the app at the developer's main site.

Diamond Twister

It has a fun little plot about stealing precious gems which takes you to 8 different cities around the world. Each city features 8 levels in which you swap gems to create rows of three or more of the same type. You get a variety of bonuses for getting four in a row, or several combos in a row. You have a target goal that you must reach before the time limit is up. The goal is in the form of a cash value, that correlates with the number of rows you have completed.

The game is pretty straightforward, and is highly addictive. When you fail to complete a level in time, you may simply restart it without any penalty. Of course you'll generally get some sort of snide comment from your “boss” about how he shouldn't have trusted you. One cool feature is that you can rotate your iPhone, and the direction that the jewels drop will change.

Final Thoughts:

Great little Flash game remake.

PwnageTool 2.0.1 now out
Posted by richie on Mon 21 @ 02:06 PM | Views: 38 | Comments: 0

The iPhone-dev team released the PwnageTool v2.0. Now you can activate and jailbreak your iPhone units, including the iPhone 3G. The iphone-dev team has decided to put some more and better features in the tool. So this release will be better for everyone who uses it.
Features included in PwnageTool:

PwnageTool v2.0.1 takes care of the following issues present in v2.0:

It auto-finds the bl39 and bl46 files better, if they’re on your computer
It creates the ~/Library/iTunes/Device Support/ folder if not present, which should help with some 1600 errors people have been having.
Many people have reported the PwnageTool not starting up at all (the icon never stops bouncing). This issue should be resolved now.
The Sparkle AppCast URL is fixed in this version, so automatic updates should work for future releases.

Here is a word from the team:

The iPhone-dev team notes two things regarding this version of the PwnageTool. First off, due to the AppCast URL fix, the team recommends that everyone who downloaded PwnageTool 2.0 get this version if they want to stay up to date automatically. Second, if the PwnageTool did its job properly the first time you used it, then you shouldn't need to try pwning your phone again using v2.0.1.

So go ahead and jailbreak you units and Enjoy!!

PwnageTool 2.0 finishing touches being im...
Posted by richie on Sat 19 @ 10:55 AM | Views: 31 | Comments: 0

It seems like the iphone-dev team is just about done placing the final touches on their new iPhone jailbreaker, PwnageTool 2.0. With the release of firmware 2.0 last week, the team has been working hard to deliver the much awaited jailbreak for Apple's latest iPhone software.

Due to a new update released by Apple (b103), the iphone-dev team had to delay the release of PwnageTool until they could get the new update integrated into their software. Since the iPhone 3G was said to run on this new firmware update, they wanted to make sure everything was near perfect before they openly released their jailbreaker to the world.

The delay allowed the team to ferret out a couple of new bugs which caused unexpected behaviors when using the App Store and third party apps on the same device. The bug tended to cause Wi-Fi dropouts and loss of stored passwords for Wi-Fi networks. Fortunately, this is merely a minor software issue and should be easily fixed.

PwnageTool 2.0 will support first gen iPhones running on the 2.0 firmware, as well as the iPod Touch. While the new jailbreaking tool will also support the iPhone 3G, it will not support 3G unlocking or BootNeuter on the 3G device. The dev team assured everyone that they will release an update with 3G support once it is completed.

The official release of PwnageTool 2.0 will be revealed once they take care of all the bugs. In any case, it shouldn't take too long before we finally see our newly purchased iPhone 3Gs free from their corporate shackles.

[Appstore] StarWars : The Force Unleashed
Posted by DUKE on Thu 17 @ 05:14 PM | Views: 30 | Comments: 0

Star Wars: The force unleashed is a upcoming game for the iPhone that will be released onto the App Store the 16th september. The game has beautifull graphics and a new way to control your character via the touchscreen. Unfortunately it won’t support the accelerometer except for changing the screen to portrait or landscape mode. It’s still in development but the video footage after the break already gives you a very nice view on what to expect.

GPS and Office Suite Apps?
Posted by DUKE on Wed 16 @ 11:41 AM | Views: 31 | Comments: 0

A recent interview with Greg Joswiak, Apples VP for Product Marketing says that apparently the phone's GPS antenna is capable of performing turn-by-turn navigation, however, there are some “complicated issues” surrounding it. He added that “it will evolve, I think our developers will amaze us.” I definitely can't wait to be amazed by their developers on this front.

As for the Office apps, each app has its own file space, and “there’s no cross-application file structure.” Which doesn't really mean a whole lot to me.
